Hadith 1861

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْجَزَرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ ، فِي هَذِهِ الْقِصَّةِ ، زَادَ : " أَيُّ ذَلِكَ فَعَلْتَ أَجْزَأَ عَنْكَ " .
It was reported from Abdul-Karim bin Malik Al-Jazari, from Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Laila, from Kab bin Ujrah, regarding this incident (as narrated in on previous hadith), and he added: "Whichever of these you do, it will suffice. "

1861. Commentary:
➊ It is obligatory for the leader of a nation and the head of any organization or group to also keep an eye on the personal conditions of his companions. “A lofty vision, captivating speech, and a soul full of passion—these are the provisions for the journey for the leader of the caravan.” The ahadith of this chapter are an explanation of the noble verse (196) of Surah Al-Baqarah (So whoever among you is ill or has an ailment of the head, then a ransom of fasting or charity or sacrifice) . And whoever among you is ill or has an ailment of the head, then he should give a ransom, that is, he should fast, or give charity, or offer a sacrifice.
