Abu Hurairah reported the Prophet ﷺ as saying “Locusts are counted along with what is caught in the sea (i. e., the game of the sea). ”

1؎: That is, just as hunting from the sea is permissible for the pilgrim in the state of ihram, in the same way, hunting locusts is also permissible (but this hadith is weak).
´Abu Hurairah narrated:` "We went with the Messenger of Allah during Hajj or Umrah and we encountered a swarm of locusts. We began striking at them with our whips and set our staffs, and the Prophet said: "Eat it, for indeed it is game of the sea."
