باب الرَّجُلِ يُحْرِمُ فِي ثِيَابِهِChapter: A Person Entering Into Ihram While Wearing His Regular Clothes.
Hadith 1820

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، وَهُشيْمٌ ، عَنْ الْحَجَّاجِ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَعْلَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ بِهَذِهِ الْقِصَّةِ ، قَالَ فِيهِ : فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اخْلَعْ جُبَّتَكَ " ، فَخَلَعَهَا مِنْ رَأْسِهِ وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ .
This tradition has also been narrated by Yala bin Umayyah through a different chain of narrators. This version adds The Prophet ﷺ said to him “Take off your tunic”. He then took it off from his head. The narrator then narrated the rest of the tradition.
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Umar Farooq Saeedi
1820. Commentary: Shaykh al-Albani states that this narration is authentic; however, «من راسه» the words "he removed it from his head" are munkar (rejected/anomalous).
