Abu Saeed Al-Khudri said While we were traveling along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a man came to him on his she camel, and began to drive her right and left. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said he who has a spare riding beast should give it to him who has no riding beast; and he who has surplus equipment should give it to who has no equipment. We thought that none of us had a right in surplus property.

Hadith Takhrij« صحیح مسلم/ اللقطة 4 (1728)، ( تحفة الأشراف :4310)، وقد أخرجہ: مسند احمد (3/34) (صحیح) »
1663. Commentary: ➊ This man with the she-camel, who was making it turn around, perhaps the she-camel had become tired and was unable to walk further. This person adopted this approach so that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) would see him and perhaps grant him some other favor. ➋ In situations of extreme necessity and hardship, delivering surplus wealth to those in need—as occurs during famine—is obligatory. In normal circumstances, it is recommended and encouraged. Based on such instructions, Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (radi Allahu anhu) used to repeatedly admonish other Companions (radi Allahu anhum ajma'in) who were affluent and well-off, regarding the hoarding of wealth.

'A'isha thus reported about the (night prayer) of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) : He used to sleep in the early part of the night, and woke up in the latter part. If he then wished intercourse with his wife, he satisfied his desire, and then went to sleep; and when the first call to prayer was made he jumped up (by Allah, she, i. e. 'A'isha, did not say "he stood up" ), and poured water over him (by Allah she, i. e. 'A'isha, did not say that he took a bath but I know what she meant) and if he did not have an intercourse, he performed ablution, just as a man performs ablution for prayer and then observed two rak'ahs.

Hadith Commentary: Benefits and Issues: From this hadith, it is understood that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) would sometimes wake up early at night, and after completing the night prayer, he would have relations with his wife and then go back to sleep. Upon waking up quickly after the call to prayer (adhan) of Fajr, he would perform the ritual bath (ghusl) and then offer the Sunnah prayers of Fajr. The Sunnah prayers of Fajr were always performed before the obligatory Fajr prayer.
