Hadith 1501

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، عَنْ هَانِئِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ حُمَيْضَةَ بِنْتِ يَاسِرٍ ، عَنْ يُسَيْرَةَ ، أَخْبَرَتْهَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَمَرَهُنَّ أَنْ يُرَاعِينَ بِالتَّكْبِيرِ وَالتَّقْدِيسِ وَالتَّهْلِيلِ ، وَأَنْ يَعْقِدْنَ بِالْأَنَامِلِ فَإِنَّهُنَّ مَسْئُولَاتٌ مُسْتَنْطَقَاتٌ " .
Narrated Yusayrah, mother of Yasir: The Prophet ﷺ commanded them (the women emigrants) to be regular (in remembering Allah by saying): "Allah is most great"; "Glory be to the King, the Holy"; "there is no god but Allah"; and that they should count them on fingers, for they (the fingers) will be questioned and asked to speak.
Brief Explanation
1؎ : Allah Ta'ala says: «يوم تشهد عليهم ألسنتهم وأيديهم وأرجلهم بما كانوا يعملون» (Surah An-Nur 24) "The Day when their tongues, their hands, and their feet will bear witness against them regarding what they used to do." Thus, just as the hands, feet, and other limbs will bear witness to evil deeds, in the same way, they will also bear witness to good deeds.

1501. Commentary: On the Day of Resurrection, the limbs of the body will be summoned, and they will bear witness, as is mentioned in the Noble Qur’an. [الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَامَ دِينًا ۚ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ فِي مَخْمَصَةٍ غَيْرَ مُتَجَانِفٍ لِّإِثْمٍ ۙ فَإِنَّ اللَّـهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ) [المائدة۔3]
Today We shall set a seal upon their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will bear witness to what they used to earn. And in Surah An-Nur it is stated: [يَوْمَ تَشْهَدُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَلْسِنَتُهُمْ وَأَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ]
[النور ۔24]
