Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: One who was devoted to the Quran will be told to recite, ascend and recite carefully as he recited carefully when he was in the world, for he will reach his abode when he comes to the last verse he recites.

Explanation: Reciting the Noble Qur’an with pauses while observing the rules of tajwid is called tartil.
2؎: That is, by reciting one verse you will ascend one rank, then with the next verse, the second rank; in this manner, as many verses as you recite, you will continue to ascend that many ranks and stations. Wherever you recite your last verse, that will be your station.

It is greatly blessed, so that people may ponder over its verses, and those endowed with intellect may take admonition. And such memorization and recitation which are devoid of sincerity and action—these will not attain the aforementioned ranks. May Allah protect us from this (al-‘iyadhu billah).

´Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr:` that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "It shall be said - meaning to the one who memorized the Qur'an - 'Recite, and rise up, recite (melodiously) as you would recite in the world. For indeed your rank shall be at the last Ayah you recited.'"
Shaykh Dr. Abdur Rahman Freywai
Explanation: 1: It is understood from this that there is immense virtue in reciting the Qur'an, and a person will attain a place in Paradise according to the amount of Qur'an he has memorized. That is, the more Qur'an he has memorized, he will recite it with measured recitation (tarteel) accordingly, and will continue to ascend the ranks of Paradise.
