Shaykh Umar Farooq Saeedi
1449. Commentary: Allahu Akbar! It is as if, after the noble Companions (radi Allahu anhum ajma'in) attained understanding of religion and faith, worldly desires departed entirely from their hearts. Regarding bread, clothing, and shelter, neither did these individuals ask, nor did you (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) mention them. In reality, these things are merely provisions for the journey through this world. But alas, now these material things have come to dominate people’s minds excessively. And to Allah is the complaint.
