حَدَّثَنَا
الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ، عَنْ
مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ
مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ
سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ
رَجُلٍ عِنْدَهُ رَضِيٍّ ، أَنَّ
عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَا مِنَ امْرِئٍ تَكُونُ لَهُ صَلَاةٌ بِلَيْلٍ يَغْلِبُهُ عَلَيْهَا نَوْمٌ إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُ أَجْرُ صَلَاتِهِ ، وَكَانَ نَوْمُهُ عَلَيْهِ صَدَقَةً " .
Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: The Prophet ﷺ said: Any person who offers prayer at night regularly but (on a certain night) he is dominated by sleep will be given the reward of praying. His sleep will be almsgiving.

Commentary: In the chain of narration of the previous hadith, there was an intermediary between Sa'id ibn Jubayr and Aisha radi Allahu anha, whose name was not mentioned and was instead referred to only as the "preferred person." In the present hadith, his name is mentioned, and he is Aswad ibn Yazid. Therefore, this heading has been established.
