Hadith 1149

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would say the takbir (Allah is most great) seven times in the first rak'ah and five times in the second rak'ah on the day of the breaking of the fast and on the day of sacrifice (on the occasion of both the Eid prayers, the two festivals).

Brief Explanation
1؎ : This is the view of all the hadith scholars, Imam Malik, Imam Ahmad, and Imam Shafi'i. However, according to Imam Malik and Imam Ahmad, in the first rak'ah there are seven takbirs including the opening takbir (takbir al-tahrimah), and in the second rak'ah there are five takbirs besides the takbir for standing (qiyam). According to Imam Shafi'i, in the first rak'ah there are seven additional takbirs besides the opening takbir, and in the second rak'ah there are five additional takbirs besides the takbir for standing (and according to all of them, these takbirs are to be said before the recitation in both rak'ahs). According to Imam Abu Hanifah, in the first rak'ah before the recitation, there are three takbirs besides the opening takbir, and in the second rak'ah after the recitation, there are three takbirs besides the takbir for bowing (ruku'), but there is no authentic marfu' hadith for this.
