Hadith 1082

Salamah bin al-Akwa said: The space between the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the wall (of the mosque) was such that a goat could pass.

Hadith Commentary: Benefits and Issues:
From the aforementioned authentic ahadith, it is established that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) will not intercede for anyone, even his closest relatives, without the permission of Allah Almighty. And it is explicitly stated in the Noble Qur’an:

"On that Day, intercession will not benefit anyone except the one for whom the Most Merciful has granted permission and whose word He is pleased with."

In Ayat al-Kursi, it is stated:
"Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission?"

Despite these explicit ahadith and verses, to say: "Allah Almighty has made the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) the owner and possessor of intercession"—how audacious is this! And at the same time, to accept that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is not the owner and possessor of intercession without Allah’s permission and instruction.

One who needs to seek permission and inform (Allah) cannot be called the owner and possessor. Whoever is the owner and possessor of something does not need to seek permission from anyone regarding it.
