حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ صَاحِبٍ لَهُ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَلِيحٍ ، أَنَّ ذَلِكَ كَانَ يَوْمَ جُمُعَةٍ .
Abu al-Malih said: That took place on a Friday.

1058. Commentary:
If rain causes hardship for the people, then attendance at the congregation is excused; such individuals should perform the Zuhr prayer in their homes. The imam should lead the Jumu‘ah prayer for those present there, just as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam did. See: [فتاويٰ ابن تيميه : 101/24]
